In November 2013, retail prices of most food commodities monitored across Nepal showed an increase month-onmonth,although there was a seasonal price decline for coarse rice. Supply of food and non-food commodities is normal due to the smooth operation of transport services and improved access to fair weather roads and trails.

Overall inflation rate is 10 percent. The food and beverage group is higher (13.5 percent) as are food sub-groups: vegetables (35.3 percent), meat and fish (22.3 percent), fruits (15.3 percent), and cereal grains (12.6 percent).
