DFSN completed in Baglung

DFSN meeting was held today in Baglung in the chairmanship of Chief District Officer Mr. Baldev Gautam in District Agriculture Development Office.

The meeting was held to discuss and analyze the food security situation of the district for the 1st trimester of the fiscal year 2071/071. It was concluded that the food security situation of the district as Minimally Food Insecure i.e Phase I.

The main attributing factors for resulting the situation are ; normal production of maize, preharvesting of paddy with normal production; good income from sale of livestock and agricultural products; good flow of remittance in the district etc. Similarly through the utilization view; the distrit is declared as open defication free district as per national campaign where 86.8% hh are is acess to piped driking water.

Secondly there were not the occurance of climatic hazards, cases of diaster and desease. 

The situation was also anticiipated for the 2nd trimester as Minimally Food Insecure. Because of complete harvest of Paddy, Millet, open market access etc.

In the course of meeting, DADO Mr. Binod Hamal briefed about the food security situation of the district and Mr. Deviram Belbase NeKSAP focal person ( DADO ) conducted the meeting efficiently.
